I don’t know about you, but I’m enjoying watching exciting reruns of football games from the NFL and College games. Also basketball NBA and College. I grew up in Pittsburgh so I’m still a huge Pirate and Steeler fan. I recently watched the 7th game of the 1971 World Series between the Pirates and Baltimore. I had goosebumps just the same way as I did when I watched it live on TV almost 50 years ago!
In the spirit of exciting reruns I want to point you to my final presentation (which never happened live*) at the last Annual NCTM meeting in San Diego. It’s title is “Short Math Stories with a Surprise Twist” and it runs almost 21 minutes. I think you will enjoy it. (See the list of stories in the image above.)
*There was a room mix-up. I wound up giving the talk to 2 teachers in the wrong room while the rest of the teachers went to the right room and discovered that I was a no show. Very depressing.
