When they were done
playing, Mayor 1 was energized. "Now I understand
better how decimals work," said the mayor. "The
numbers to the right of the decimal point tell you how
many fractional pieces of tenths,
hundredths, thousandths, etc. there are."
4/6 listening
intently, scratched its head and said, "If you say so.
I'm going to have to go back to the decimal darts game
and practice some more."
Meanwhile,
4/6 walked over to the information booth to
listen to Joe "Point 25" Decimalis.
"Hi! Point 25 is
my name and decimals are my game. I’ve found
an easy way to change fractional numbers to
their decimal form, no sweat!" Joe proudly declares. "One of my
hobbies is to rename all fractions as a
fraction with a denominator of 10, 100,
1000, etc." |
