Numbertown ---- Decimal Darts

them. After they settled in, Mayor 1 told them that the Decimal Darts extravaganza was ready to go. Now, since everyone is new to the game a bit of an overview is appropriate. The game is similar to Fraction Darts except this time you enter decimal numbers to try to hit the balloons. Next is an example of what could occur: 0.6 is too small and 0.7 is too big. Keep in mind what you learned from Point 4.

Point 6 is the same as 6/10 and Point 7 is the same as 7/10. So the question is what's a decimal between 6/10 and 7/10? To find out let's clone these fractions by 10 so they become 60/100 and  70/100. Now 65/100 would be halfway between those two numbers.

"Point 65 is the same as 65/100," said Mayor 1. "That's between .6 and .7 and it would get you closer to the balloon."

Time to play Decimal Darts. See next page.
